How mass delete obsolete buttons stored in toolbar "customiz

Postby steve.marks59 » Fri Apr 27, 2018 2:26 pm

I don't know the proper term for the toolbar "customization" window.
Mine is filled with old obsolete buttons I would like to delete en mass.
Individually moving each one to a toolbar and deleting it is far too tedious.

Does anyone know how I could delete all the custom buttons stored there
without affecting the buttons on my toolbars?
Possibly edit the localstore.rdf and buttonsoverlay.xul files?
Thank you.

I updated my Custom Buttons³ add-on to version 56.0.8 on my site https://sonco.synthasite.com/custom-butttons-3.php to mirror Waterfox browser updates.

Image CB Delete

Will only list the CB buttons, in a 2 column popup, from the Customize Toolbar Palette, not any buttons on toolbars. Left-click on popup menuitem to select/deselect individually and click "Delete Selected" button or click "Delete All" button.
There is an alert confirmation after clicking Delete buttons, giving you a chance to cancel operation. Popup css in CSS tab section.
After installing this button, make a back-up buttonsoverlay.xul file prior to deleting anything, else restoring backed-up buttonsoverlay.xul will not include this button and must be re-installed again.

THANKS Srazzano I figured you would be the one who
could solve my problem. This button is amazing and
exactly what I needed. I had 661 old buttons stored there.

I really admire your button coding knowledge and skill and I am
grateful for your consistent willingness to help all of us.

Thanks Sonny!

Note: Thanks also for the correct term
"Customize Toolbar Palette".
